In this context, the objective will be on the one hand to create a pleasant workspace to welcome its customers, and on the other to choose a comfortable armchair calling for relaxation. The choice of a good chair adapted to your professional needs will be important in many fields and professions: for all the liberal professions, the management of practices (medical, hypnosis, dental, sophrology, psy, waiting, hotel, therapy),…

A cabinet is as much a place of work as a place of reception. The notions of customer reception, the design, the desired atmosphere, the comfort of the customer and the professional are criteria to be taken into account during your installation, and throughout the management of your activity. Your choice of chair should allow you to reconcile all these needs, establish your professionalism and make your patients want to come back. Note that a psychologist will have different needs than a dentist, and will therefore have different thinking in order to make the right choice of furniture in particular.

If you are moving or moving, take this change as an opportunity to modify your new interior. You are free to imagine your ideal workspace, making your office more attractive for you and your customers. If you have a waiting room, it is important to make it warm to put the customer at ease as soon as they arrive. This is the perfect place to let the client feel your energy and highlight your professionalism.

Also invest in at least two comfortable armchairs, for you and your client, so that you feel comfortable and relaxed during the session. Depending on your profession, you can choose a chair with a high backrest and armrests to create a feeling of protection. The best office chair is the one adapted to the workstation and its constraints. This should serve comfort as well as health.

Some criteria are important !

The back

In most cases, it will be important to opt foran armchair with a reclining backrest. It will have to tilt back if you want a more relaxed position, up to an almost lying position. This will be all the more important during a session with the psychologist, for example, where relaxation is essential. On the other hand, the backrest must be high enough to encompass the entire back and therefore go up at least to the shoulders. It is important that the entire back maintains contact with it.

The footrest

The designs armchair  often fixed, can have a concern of adaptation as for the different morphologies. Adapting your chair and in particular its seat height with the height of your desk therefore seems important, but not only! Depending on your size, you may not benefit from optimal ergonomics with, for example, a gap between your feet and the ground. The best solution is then to opt for a footrest  This one will be there in support, in order to compensate for this difference in height, while optimizing comfort as well as blood circulation.

Analyse your way of work

Finally, it may seem obvious but make your choice according to your way of working! Identify your needs, depending on your environment or your practice, as well as your budget of course. A single practitioner will not have the same needs as a team of 10 people, just as a psychologist will have different needs than a medical practice.
